| Principles
of Coaching
We
believe
| • |
the
client is a creative, resourceful and whole person |
| • |
a
relationship between coach and client is a sanctuary/a safe place |
| • |
a
successful coaching process is one jointly agreed to by coach and
client |
| • |
skills
of listening, empathy, objectivity, and the giving of sound advice
are the skills we bring to the coaching process |
| • |
the coach must be a compassionate, non-judgmental person who understands
the process of change and can help the client make good decisions
about the future |
Objective:
Change
Change on the part of the client emerges through expanded self-awareness,
and a broader repertoire of behaviours upon which to draw.
Coaches’
Responsibility
|
•
discover, clarify, and align with what client wants to achieve
• encourage client through self-discovery
•
elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
•
hold client as responsible and accountable |
Coach
asks the question – client can accept, reject or counter-offer
Coaches’
Commitment
Our commitment to our clients is to create meaningful change, to act as
a sounding
board for complex issues, challenge and support, champion the client and
create a non-judgmental and accepting space for the client to explore
and experiment with new behaviours.
Program
