Topics
#1 - How Leaders Boost Productivity
Would you like to have an organization comprised of employees
who take pride in the work they do, who play as a team and
who embrace change willingly? You can. When you invest in
your leaders, you can achieve extraordinary results with ordinary
people. By developing the ‘soft skills’ of your
leaders and training them to understand and live your organization’s
culture and overall strategy they can then instill these principles
and actions within the entire company. As a result, your organization
will begin to take a more synergistic approach to doing business.
You will improve the overall efficiency, reduce costs and
enjoy a more harmonious workplace.
#2 - Getting Results in the Face of Rapid Change
How many times have you attempted to implement a change initiative
within your organization and, much to your dismay, have failed
to come even close to the desired outcome? You are not alone.
The reality is that 80% of change initiatives fail to realize
their intended gains. Why? The leaders in the organization
fail to get buy-in from their employees and, as a result,
within no time, it is ‘business as usual’ and
the project and concepts presented are long forgotten. In
this session, learn fundamental principles of strategically
implementing change initiatives that will give you the results
you are looking for. Where do we start? With your employees.
# 3 - Human Resources & Strategy - The Winning
Team
Do you ever wonder how certain organizations become known
as the ‘Best Companies to Work for in Canada’
and are able to attract and retain top talent? The answer
is, these organizations recognize that their most valuable
resource is their employees and they have a human resources
strategy in place that is in line with the overall strategy
of their organization. Make sense?
If you do not have a strategy in place, you are not utilizing
your people to their full potential and you are creating more
work for yourself and others in your organization. You will
find yourself constantly ‘putting out fires’,
and being reactive rather than proactive. Learn the key elements
in implementing a Human Resources Strategy that will assist
you and your organization to effectively and efficiently manage
your people, monitor their performance, and adapt to your
rapidly changing workplace environment.
# 4 - Best Practices in Attracting & Retaining
Personnel…It’s Not Just About Money!
Today’s workforce is changing rapidly and it is affecting
every sector. As the baby boomers retire they are being replaced
with a new group of people who have very different needs and
values. How are you going to attract & retain employees?
It’s not just about money! They are concerned about
work-life balance. They also want to be recognized for their
efforts. Learn how to create and sustain a winning environment
that will attract and retain key human resources.
# 5 - Succession Planning–The Time Is Now
What would happen if one of your key employees was unable
to return to work tomorrow due to a serious illness, family
matter or otherwise? Is there someone ‘on the sidelines’
who has been mentored over time who would be capable of ‘picking
up the pieces’ and carrying on, or would this event
devastate the operations of your entire department? A well
thought-out succession plan is similar to that of an insurance
policy and is essential to the continuation of an organization,
no matter what its size and structure. Rather than a single
dramatic movement, the smooth succession of an operation more
resembles the flow of events that occur over time. Where do
you start? By attending this session.
